Mind maps

· Learn,Experiment,Activity

Children with ADHD often struggle to study for tests. In fact, most children struggle to study for exams because they have not been taught how to study.

Mind mapping is just one tool you can teach your child to use to help them to learn and remember information for a test.

The writing centre at the University of Adelaide recommends mind maps to their students as a useful tool to ‘brainstorm’ ideas. Mind maps can be used to generate a visual outline of any topic.

Don’t wait until your child is in university to introduce the concept of mind maps to them, start now. It’s a fun way to help your child to learn new information or to create a map of a story they intend to write.

Why not visit the university website and learn how to create a mind map and then share this with your child/children.
