Educating yourself and the family

“Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him..." - Maya Angelou

Last Saturday I wrote an article that discussed the importance of preventative care and recommended "a low-stress lifestyle."

The low-stress lifestyle covered 7 points, and for today's blog, I will jump ahead to point six i.e. Educate yourself and your family

As you may have already guessed, I am passionate about making a difference to the lives of children with and without ADHD. This is why I write my blogs. It is my way of sharing information from the research articles that I have used to write my evidence-based children's books.

So, the take home message is: educate yourself. Only then will you be able to make informed decisions about your child's health, education and well-being. Educate your family, through formal and informal learning.

And that is why I created the …

“But why…?” Children's Book Series.

My wish for you is that you enjoy reading these books as much as I enjoyed creating them.

My wish for your child, is that they enjoy listening to these books and that they develop a love of reading as well as a love of taking on the healthy lifestyle activities suggested in the books.
