I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how important it is to relax every day!

Did you know… research has shown that progressive muscle relaxation can help students with exam anxiety?

A study was conducted in 2014 to investigate whether progressive muscle relaxation could help students with exam anxiety.

The results of this research project showed that performing progressive muscle relaxation regularly before exams was effective in reducing test anxiety among nursing students.

Even though your child is young, and not a nursing student, it might be worth teaching them this relaxation technique. They may be able to use it in other stressful situations throughout their daily lives.

The way it is done is...

Lie somewhere quiet and comfortable (if you can't lie down, sit somewhere)

Take a some deep breaths

Focus on each muscle group and tighten each muscle group and then relax them

Start from your toes... and end with your nose!

You too, may want to try it!
