According to a study conducted in Australia, amongst children aged 6-12 years with ADHD…

parents who reported more sleep disturbances in their children, also reported a higher intake of fats (bad fats) and carbohydrates (in particular sugar).

Given that both sleep and dietary intake are behaviours that can be modified in children with ADHD, here are some suggestions regarding sleep...

The body repairs during sleep and the brain consolidates learning so... establishing a good bedtime routine is very important, the body loves routine, so create a good routine with your child and be consistent with the bedtime routine every night.
