We have all heard the saying that “laughter is the best medicine."
A research article was published in 2011, and researchers have uncovered the reason we feel so good when we laugh. It is due to the release of our happy hormones, that’s right the chemicals called endorphins, which are increased in our brains when we laugh.
So, why use humour with children?
Use laughter to dissipate stressful situations. I’m sure you know that having a child/children with ADHD creates many stressful situations throughout the day, so learn to use humour as a tool.
When laughter is shared with all of the family, it binds the family together and increases happiness and intimacy.
